Description:

Courts make life-changing decisions about children and families involved with child welfare. Effective parent representation and legal advocacy in these cases is vital. To enhance the quality of parent representation in our state, NC’s Office of the Parent Defender is launching an Interdisciplinary Representation Program (IRP). In the IRP, experienced social workers will be paired with parent attorneys to improve outcomes for parents involved with child welfare services. This 60-minute webinar explains why and how this proven approach is being brought to North Carolina.
